Book Review Dreadful by Catlin Rozakis
You know those books that make you laugh out loud - few and far between right? I have to say there were so many laughs in Dreadful that I lost count. The premise here (to not give plot points away) is a necromancer who’s lost their memory wakes up with everything on fire (literally) and a princess in the dungeon. The choices made by the author throughout were chef’s kiss. Brilliance of this kind is rare.
While this brand of comedic fantasy might not quite hit it for some readers, the particular sort is up my alley.
If you happened to enjoy the humor of Matt Ward’s Sin du Jour series, run don’t walk to get Dreadful. I’ve already pre-ordered Rozakis’ next book.
